About me and my passion for cars
Bought my first real hot rod when I was about 22 yrs old. It was a 1973 Vega with a whupped out 350, 350 turbo w/a vega torque converter, 12 bolt Chevelle rear end with a 3.55 gear in it with slapper bars bolted to the rear floor pans. Yea. It eventually broke them out. Swapped the 3.55 for a 4.11 and I could run with just about anyone around at the time. It just got more serious from there as time went by. I Pro Streeted the Vega a little later (as best I knew how at the time), had a big block 1967 Camaro bracket car, a 1966 Chevy II that I street raced and bracket raced a while then went to the "big cars".
My first car
1963 Ford Fairlane with a 260 V8 and 2 spd automatic
Car I wish I still had
1962 Bel Air "bubble top" that belonged to my brother in high school. We "thrashed" that car bad. 327 with a 3 spd on the floor
My dream car
I'm working on them every day. Never thought I would own a Corvette and now we have one. Didn't have a lot when we were coming up (Even though it is Janet's she lets me drive it once in a while).
Car clubs I’m in
