About 55Stepside’s Garage
About me and my passion for cars
I started at an early age, when my dad bought my brothers a ’30 5-window coupe and a ’31 4 door sedan. They never did anything with them but I was constantly in the garage piddling with both of them. Eventually my dad got tired of these cars sitting in the garage and sold both cars for $75.00. Pissed me off. Later one of my brothers got a ’37 Dodge coupe and sat it behind the garage so it would be out of the way. Again, he never did anything with it. I would go out back and play with it and loved the smell inside. It was the old car smell. I knew then that I had to have my own. Again, my dad told him to do something with it or get rid of it. My brother towed it to a friend’s house and they sold hits with a sledge hammer for 50 cents each. Beat that car to a pulp. Both of my brothers had cool cars. I got my first car, a ’49 Chevy Fleetline when I was in High School. I did not think that car was cool at all. The engine finally gave up and my dad bought me a ’50 Ford sedan. That was not a cool car either. I have had some pretty cool cars since then and wish I could have them all back for my collection. But I would have to have a coliseum to put them all in. I have been playing with cars basically all my life. I have done some rebuilds but never a full frame off restoration like the one I am presently working on. I had no idea what was involved until I started it. I am totally at a loss on some of the things that need to be done. All I can do is just take my time and try to learn from others who have done this before. Thanks to all the friendly folks I have met on this site, I have been able to accomplish a lot of things that I never dreamed I would be able to do.
My first car
1950 Chevrolet Fleetline.
Car I wish I still had
I wish I had all of my past cars. They are all classics now and I would have a ball with them.
My dream car
The one I'm working on now.

- that was the second hose I put on that car...and it does the exact same thing the first one did...I need to find a hose that has a spring inside it so it dont kink like that when its cold...when its warm it opens up. I dont know it those lights come in any other colors or not i couldnt find a website they were on, but i found them on ebay. I was originally looking for some HID's because i didnt know if there was an after marked kit for them or not, i did find one though...$1100 which blew my mind i couldnt figure out why they were so high, then i saw the halos, and fell in love with that over the HID's. Thanks for the comments.
