About me and my passion for cars

My passion for cars has been with me since I was 5 years old when my parents moved into a new home in 1968 and thats when I was introduced to Muscle cars.Our new tenants had a 1968 Chevelle SS which was something that took my attention and my passion has grown tremendously over time.My older brother is also a car guy which is another reason for my passion and we use to attend many car events together and still do to this day.My father had a 69 Chevelle 4dr our family car, I don't remember it ever breaking down.1977 rolled around and the movie Smokey and the Bandit was out and that's what did it my bro and I were going nuts over the 77 TA SE.We told our father to go see the new TA's at the dealer because the Chevelle was starting to get old and he was looking for a new car anyway.It was mid summer when we went to the local Pontiac dealer to look at the new cars,there was also the same local Pontiac dealer advertising on the radio station that day saying that they had their last 77 Special Edition TA in the showroom.The moment we walked in the showroom it was love at first sight and thier was a big crowd around the car.That special day is a day I'll never forget because my father purchased that TA in the showroom.My father gave me the car in 1987 and I still own it with just under 22k original miles.Their's been lots of memorys and I will never sell it.The other car I own is a 1963 Impala with a 409 engine,425hp,factory hi po aluminum intake with factory AFB dual quad,4:56 gear ratio posi.I love these old nostalgic cars because of thier history.These were some of the first Muscle cars in the horse power war between the big three north american auto makers.Back in the day who ever won on sunday at the drags weather it be Chrysler, Ford, or Chevrolet would sell more on monday's new car sales.I love these cars because of their American history and that's when Americans use to build all American cars with pride.
