About me and my passion for cars

I come from a family of "car people"...Ford for the most part. My grandfather would buy nothing less...and it had to have a V8 with some sort of modification! Sundays were spent walking the car lots with Dad, looking for that unlocked door, savoring that new car smell and pushing the buttons. At 12, I helped my parents' friends buy a new car, justifying why paying just a little more to get the nicer interior and aluminum wheels was worth it! :) On vacation drives, I would try to guess the cars going the opposite direction on the interstate before it even got close to see what make/model it was! The first car I ever bought with my own money was a Notchback Mustang LX 5.0. My parents wanted me to buy something a little safer (slower), but I owned it for over 10 years and put 100k miles on her...I regret selling it to this day, but life made it necessary. I enjoy fast cars, but I do not drive irresponsibly...I just enjoy the power and effortless acceleration. After a few years logging miles in a VW TDI, I bought my 77 T/A. I couldn't have been luckier finding this car for a first antique!!
