About BigJohnTexan’s Garage
About me and my passion for cars
I was raised by my grandparents until I was 11 and my grandfather was always working on cars. He taught me how each part on an vehicle works and how each part worked with the other parts including each different parts on the engine and transmission. Without that it would have been harder for me to learn how to work on cars. He taught me how to work on everything imaginable. He was a Ford man but I got into the Bowties. Now I like certain cars of all makes and models. They all have strong points and weak points. When my mother remarried my stepfather owned a shop and he went by the motto that you should earn your keep. So I grew up working in the shop. I got more in depth lessons on each different types of vehicles including fabrication, body work, painting and everything else. And all this I am passing on to my own children.
My first car
It was a 1970 Ford LTD with a V8 390. I bought it for 200 dollars when I was 14. I grew up working on cars and my stepfather had a shop. I chopped everything I could off of that tank to make it lighter and dragged it. Didn't do too bad either.
Car I wish I still had
Oh man, so many choices...... I guess it would have to be either my Toyota Supra MKII or my 77 Chevy Camaro RS.
My dream car
Dont laugh now. Its an 1974 MG Midget. Or an AMC Javelin. I love the classics.

- I will accept any challenge given. I dont really care about winning or losing. I have my rides and I know what their worth is to me. But the reason I will accept all challenges is it lets me see other nice rides too. If I like it and you are challenging me I will even vote for your car. I'm a good sport.
