About Ceezer’s Garage
About me and my passion for cars
Just your typical car nut but for me it's less about Chevy or Ford and more about the love. Equal opportunity, if you will. I'm more in tune with domestic than I am imports though I've owned a fair share of each.
My first car
An 81 Buick Skylark that is immortalized in the minds of many. This was a $250 car that might as well of had no shocks as that's how it felt. It liked to slip out of gear on inclines, and the headlights had to be on for the radio to work. The first engine caught on fire as I was driving to my cousin's house; the second threw a rod while delivering citrus for the FFA; when the third engine turned out to have a crack in the block, I finally called it quits.
More than 15 years later and I can still remember what the interior smelled like.
Car I wish I still had
82 AMC Eagle 4WD Wagon - This was a mammoth of a car but one of the most comfortable rides I can remember. I got up to the door handles at Catfish Lake after Hurricane Andrew (I think it was that one) tore everything up and didn't have a lick of trouble.
87 Chevy Sprint - 3 cyliners pushing 12" wheels, but it got 46MPG.
My dream car
I'm more into the less mainstream productions, like:
62 Chevy II Wagon
66 Lincoln Continental
65 Buick Riviera
64 Meyers Manx
65 VW Notchback
I dig wagons and 4-doors, and really get into G-Bodies. 3rd generation Vdub enthusiast.

Filed under: 1997 Subaru Impreza (The Boomerang)
Ok, I've abandoned the spray bombing and instead decided to try and spruce things up to make driving the OBS interesting again. Here's what I've got in store for The Boomerang: Stage 1 The first steps in this process will involve cosmetic and aesthetic...

Filed under: 1988 Ford Thunderbird (Project: Turd Bird)
The Turd Bird is gone. I sold it today to a Ford guy that's probably going to race it (he showed up in a nice modified Cobra). I hated to get rid of it but we needed money to finish our kitchen remodel. I've got a few other project cars, anyway, so this...

Filed under: 1997 Subaru Impreza (The Boomerang)
My wife had been driving The Boomerang for a few weeks and I was driving her Tahoe so she'd save some money on fuel but I missed the car and was asking for it back. Well, I got my wish when she returned from a softball tournament with a shudder. I didn't...
