About Chuckster’s Garage
About me and my passion for cars
As Bill Engvall would say..."I'm just a guy..." If it's cars, muscle, collectible, old, etc, I'm there. If it involves anything to DO with cars (gas pumps, oil cans, etc), I'm there. I've got degrees in Advertising (copywriting) and Graphic Design in order to both feed my habits and hopefully gain employment in an automotive-related field, like the aftermarket...
I also collect old ('68'-73) Hot Wheels and Matchbox toys (I never grew up, I figured!) and have also returned to building some of the old model cars I grew up with originally (when I can find 'em!), like the Ice-T, Munster Koach, Infineon, Monkeemobile, etc. and the many others made from '66'-74 by Barris and the Rat Fink (don't think that came out right, but you know what I mean).
My first car
1966 Rambler Classic.
Car I wish I still had
1966 Rambler Classic; 1975 Trans Am, 1967 Kingswood Estate Wagon, 1966 Bel Air.. (Had 'em all...miss 'em all...)
My dream car

OIA is all about full-size Chevrolets made from 1955 up to 1972. Technically, OIA is to be an affiliate of the National Impala Association, which includes full-size Chevys from '58-70, but we'd like to widen things a bit in order to deepen our knowledge base and add membership. For that matter,...

And we're breathing...and breathing...

So, Max came out of the shop back in February after 18 months or so, allegedly ready to rumble. Cooling issues were nixed, fuel issues corrected, and air was to blow cool enough to hang meat. Uh, no. Same problem(s) came roaring back after just a short...

OK, just so's we're up-to-date here: Max has (so far) had the following installed since I bought him: all-new HD coil springs / bushings (urethane on suspension parts) and gas shocks, HD rear sway bar, add-on HD front sway bar, front disc brake conversion...

...hey, does anyone out there have a dual-snorkel air cleaner to fit a Q-Jet on my '68 Impala? The wide-snorkel Z-28 kind would be fantastic, and repops are fine; I'd like to be able to trade for some of the old home audio equipment I've got (receiver, SS...
