About me and my passion for cars
I curently own two mid '60's Plymouth Fury's, a '65 Fury III four door sport sedan and a '66 Plymouth Fury VIP two door sport coupe. Both cars are fully functional, my wife and I enjoy them in the summer time. We also enjoy motor cycle riding and cruising the original alignments of Historic Route 66 in Illinois and Missouri.
I build and collect 1:25 scale model cars and restore original annual amature built models. I enjoy making masters for a resin model company and have built many resin cars. I also collect and modify 1:18 die cast model cars, changing incorrect features to make the replica look more authentic. I also add features that were mistakenly over-looked by the manufaturer.
I also restore and collect vintage Schwinn bicycles from the '50's - '70's.
My first car
Was a 1962 Pontiac Catalina two door sedan I bought for $85 back in 1973. It was in pretty good shape, with a punchy 389 V/8. I drove the car for a year and a half before selling it for $125.
Car I wish I still had
Was a 1957 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman two door sport coupe with a 331 cubic inch hemi engine and push button torqueflite transmission Look one up on the web. It's a beautiful car.
