My first car
My first car was a 1947 Pontiac Convertable straight 8 with a bad tio when I bought it. I saved up and got a Warshawsky (JCWhitney) top and put it on. Pretty good job for a 17 year old. Then the lead foot broke the engine - - bought one from a wreck for $125 and put it in with a little help from my girl friend.
Some buddys helped me paint it and then it really looked good. Put a set of lakes pipes on a split manufold. My Dad made me keep the covers on the pipes (while he was around).
My dream car
is coming - now being restored in the shop. 1905 Ford Model F
