About me and my passion for cars

I've been into cars my entire life. The funny part is, I'm basically the only one in my family that is. Anything I've learned about cars I've learned from friends and by hanging around garages. I hope to one day be a writer for magazines and/or write a book about the hobby, since that is what I'm trained in from college. I try to travel and go to as many shows as possible, but the real thing for me is the open road trip, and only in a fun car. That is where the experiences for writing truely come from.

I grew up in a farm house outside of town. If you wanted to go anywhere, you had to drive, so cars were very important to me from a young age. As soon as I turned 16 I got my license and was driving a full size ford van. Me and my friends enjoyed the freedom of having such a big truck to go out in, since we could basically take 20 people with us. However, the car that left the biggest impression on me was my dad's 1965 Bonneville. It was the last car my Grandfather bought, and it's always been in the family. I used to wash it and take car of it since I was 5, and one day it will be mine. It is a gorgeous car, and sparked my love for pontiacs.
