About me and my passion for cars

My older brother has owned his own garage for years and used to SCCA autocross Corvairs. When I was 16 years old I spent the summer with him and he let me take his car out for a lap. I actually got a trophy for slowest lap of the day but that was the starting point for me. My love for Formula 1 goes way back I can still remember watching Jackie Stewart race as a kid. My brother took me to see the 79 U.S. Grand Prix at Watkins Glenn I consider it one of the greatest moments of my life, I got to see the great Gilles Villeneuve win the race just a few short months before he was taken from us far before his time.

About my cars my first car was a 66 beetle I used to drive it through the woods on my parents property. Number 2 was a 71 Chevy C10 pickup I grew up in upstate NY so this was a terminal cancer victim when I got it. No 3 was a 78 Chevette I used to tell every one I owned a vette. No 4 was a 75 Monza I still have it in the barn at my parents house this was the beginning of performance upgrades for me It is a really fun little car with a 4.3 liter V8 and a 4 speed. Several uninteresting cars later I picked up a 71 FJ 40 with a 350 in it I still have it in storage in Oklahoma. I also had an 87 Ferio GT 5 speed two Alfa Romeo 75’s when I lived in Europe and since my return to the states I’ve been hooked on vettes
