About me and my passion for cars

I first fell in love with Mustangs before I even knew what a Mustang was. I was seven or eight years old and when my family would travel into Beatrice, NE we'd see this body shop that had a row of '70 Mach 1's parked next to it. I didn't know what a Mustang was but I knew that I wanted a Mach 1.

I got my Uncle's '70 Mustang when I was 17. It had been parked next to a barn for 22 years and had flood water get into it a couple times. It was a mess. I drug it out of the sunk in holes that it settled into and my Dad and had it running again later the same day. I spent my whole summer working on the car getting it cleaned up and learning a little about bodywork, mechanicals, the importance of good brakes, and wiring. It was a time I'll always look back and smile about. My Dad and I working on it together is one reason why I wish I still had that car around.

My first car

My first car was a '76 Delta 88, two door with a 455 ci 4 barrel that a little old lady drove before me.

My dream car

1970 Mustang Mach 1, 428 Cobra Jet, 4 speed, Graber Orange, Twister Edition. I've found one that the original owner has sitting out under a lean-to shed. It is in fantastic condition. Spoke with him a couple times over the years and he is starting to think about selling it but not quite there.
