About me and my passion for cars

My first vehicle (1976 Chevrolet Blazer) was something out of a bad dream. Dad felt that I needed to learn something MORE about taking care of a car if I was going to have one of my own. This being the idea helped me to understand why the blazer was the choice.

This truck needed it all! I learned how to rebuild an engine from the block "up", rebuild transmission(s) ....... went through 4 of them, body work, painting, brakes, interior and wiring. The truck was had for a stove/microwave oven + 150.00.

I learned everything over the better part of a year and that along with the love for working on cars from my father paved the way for a growing passion.

I've come a long way since then but, still find myself doing much of my own work on whatever car I might currently own. However, my current car doesn't allow for much me to do other than modding it to death :-)
