About me and my passion for cars
My Dad always had toys... a motorcycle one day disappeared for a full size bus... maybe a dune buggy... or a set of 3 Lincoln Continental's... an airplane... a powerboat... He was a pilot... had his professional chauffer's licence... drive a yacht... whatever... he didn't care... he loved being behind the wheel of something...
I think that's where I got it..
I've always been a wife and mom... I got out of high school and immediately had kids... i've spent 22 years being married and doing the important work of raising children... i'm happy to have that priviledge... i'm happy to be a part of raising young people who are and will be amazing people, friends, husbands & wives, people who have something to give back and who know how to find joy in the everyday things. I have found happiness and joy in my life...
My husband reminded me a number of times that I would eventually "work myself out of a job"... he's right... I never stop being a mother... but the day to day work of parenting does ease up... and ultimately... I find myself with more time. He said I should get a hobby... I got into cars... lots of cars...
Now he tells me he meant something like cross stitch or knitting... hahahahaha... but that's not me.
I started with the Prettybird... the 81 Turbo... a beautiful low mile survivor car... I was happy to have her... but... it left me a little empty... I LOVED sitting in her... driving... especially at night... tops off... stars out... the wind... the unique smell of an older car... oil, gas, exhaust... the heat on my feet from the engine... the sound... the way she takes a little longer to wake up... I loved her. But... still... there was nothing more to do but get in and drive... wash... get in and drive... I wanted to know how she worked... how her parts fit together... so...
I bought another... a project car... and then another... lol... and here I am... I now have a bunch of cars to salvage... I began wondering how I could use my hobby for something other than my own fun... that's where the idea for the raffle came from... The car got saved... and the funds will help keep much needed programs at a children's home... I hope to do more things like that :)

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I was hoping I would find you here. I kept debating for awhile whether or not I would join Motortopia. I had lurked on the site for a very long time but I am so glad I found you here.
No, I sure didn't talk to the owner. But it was a great show, however. I will be adding two more albums here shortly. I wished I could have gone to the Nationals this year but I am definitely planning on going next year =)

I forgot to mention... I managed to get myself into Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine's November issue... It was in the Bandit Run section... I wanted to promote the raffle in there... but they used a quote from the track instead... I was a little bummed about...
