About RT10’s Garage
About me and my passion for cars
Before I got my license I first laid eyes on a hot Charger that cruised by my house out in the country. I fell in love. After I got my license in 1980 I bought and sold several hot cars of all the big 3 brands. I liked many of the cars alot. My 70 Chevelle was a very nice car and decent on gas. Had a 72 Grand Prix that was a real sleeper. Ran 13.60's with it. Great cruiser too. My 72 Cuda 340 was just plain cool. This is just a few of the cars I owned as a kid. I didn't know anything about mechanics when I got my first car but got had to learn to work on them cause I couldn't afford to pay someone to do it for me. Took auto mechanics in high school my junior and senior years and graduated first place in class. Back when I was a kid I'd work on buddies cars for free cause I liked it so much. I'm about to finish a restoration of a 68 Cuda I bought 4 yrs. ago. In 92 I married a great gal that likes cars as much as I do and she has helped what she can on the Cuda restoration. When she can't help with it she has done extra work around the house so I have more time to work on the car. Now can you beat that!!! Thanks Cat. Your the greatest!!!
My first car
Technically my first car was a 65 Chevelle but I never got to drive it cause I got it nearly a year before I got my license and didn't know the head gaskets were leaking antifreeze in the oil. The engine ended up siezing up on it. The 1st. car I drove when I got my license was ahuge barge. A 1966 Chrysler Newport. My grandma bought it for. God Bless her soul. It was big but a nice cruiser. And that 383 would smoke the right tire for a block.
Car I wish I still had
This is tough cause I had a few that I really liked. Probably have to say if I had any back it would be my 72 Grand Prix. Sunset orange with a white top. Man it was an eye catcher, and a real sleeper too.
My dream car
This is a tough one too cause theirs so many out there I'd love to have. Probably have to say a black on black 69 Hemi Charger with a blown 800+hp Hemi. Mini tubbed with big-n-littles. And lots of chrome to polish.
