About me and my passion for cars

I became a car kid around 1958 when a teenager across the street built a 49 or 50 Chevy with lake pipes (no mufflers) spinner wheel covers and the name "Grey Ghost" on each rear fender. He was the coolest kid in Bethany Oklahoma. About the same time my dad bought two Buick Convertibles, a 49 and 53. These were the neatest cars I had ever seen. He later bought a 57 Plymouth Wagon with dual factory 4 barrels and glass packs. I was driving by this time and every once in awhile I got to drive it to school. WOW! He soon became a total Chevy guy, so to be an annoying teenager I had to become a Ford guy, which I am to this day. (A Ford guy and annoying).
