TA's have always been my kind of ride, and I remember first seeing the 3rd Gen F-body and went Oh Yea! So after researching them and hearing about Pontiac stepping up the engine, drive train, I opted to wait until mid 1983 when those were introduced.
I am the Original & Only owner and had the car brought in through the local Pontiac dealer. I just could not find a TA with the option package I was looking for, other than to order it, and that is what I did. The TA is a late 83 with the better setup, including; L69 305 HO, T-Tops, Functional Cowl Hood induction, 5-speed, Posi rear-end, A/C, power windows, and the deluxe interior package.
The TA was my fair weather driver, and was retired under the car cover in the garage in 1994, due to the family expanding. In 2009 I got serious on mods and restoration, and bringing the car back to life with the goal of keeping the integrity of the era, but with some additional HP and nice Bling under the hood, and the reliability of being able to drive it cross country with no worries. The mods and restoration include; HyperTek Chip, Edelbrock Ceramic coated headers, Edelbrock Endurashine Intake, Valve covers, MSD wires, and a MagnFlow 3” system, Red silicone heater hose, K&M filtration, Restoration includes; new power window motors and switches, power steering box (hi-speed) and hoses, heater core, speedo cable and gears and more. The TA is reliable, sounds great, and is a scream to cruise in.

My first car

A 1969 Dodge 1/2 ton Short Box Pickup, My self and a couple of motor-heads built the 318, added headers and duals, a tranny shift kit, air shocks, tires and wheels, It came with adjustable buckets with a fold-up center storage console that doubled as a middle seat, great interior for the day, I also put in an 8-track and speaks...talk about a Fun high school ride!
