About me and my passion for cars

I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I grew up here and was a fisheries biologist for the State of Wyoming for 32 years. I began working for the State when I was only 16. I worked 4 month summer all the way through college then went on "permanent". All those summers added on to my years of service and I built my house from the ground on up in 1994. That, along with some wise investing, allowed me to leave my career and relax and enjoy the great oudoors and my Chevy truck. I am renovating my house and landscaping, so that keeps me busy. I love car shows, too! I have always had a love of cars and trucks. Mostly been a Chevy guy all my life but I "dabbled" into the extreme side and bought a brand new 1992 twin turbo Dodge Stealth right off the show room floor. I had my thrills going over 150 MPH and I don't need THAT anymore. I just sold the car a year ago and I just pray the kid that bought it does not pile drive it into a bridge. I also bought a brand new 1978 Chevy 4X4 short box that I used a LOT building another house and pulling loads that only a 1 ton should have been pulling..... LIKE a D-4 CAT! It was one tough truck, too. I try to maintain my vehicles myself unless it is "over my head", then, I take it to someone who knows what they are doing and I get it done right. I am a Christian and my heart belongs to Him.

My first car

My very first car was a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Two door hartop. Power brakes, power pack heads. Replaced the 2 speed auto with a 3 speed on the floor. Kept it in storage after college for about 15 years. Sold it to build my house whick I do not regret. I then, went out and found my new baby ~ my 69 Chevy 4X4 short box. I am more of a truck guy than a car guy, anyway.

Car I wish I still had

I suppose my 57 Chevy, but like I said, it was a good decision to sell it when I did and put the money towards my house. The house is all paid for due, in part, to selling the car ~ a roof over my head is more important than wheels under my feet.

My dream car

Let me think. I suppose a NICE 69 Camaro with a 396 and a Viper 6 speed.
