About me and my passion for cars

Growing up, I played with race tracks and Matchbox cars. I still played with Barbie dolls and girlie things, but I've always loved cars. My husband knows cars, and that's where it all started. He customized my 2000 Honda Civic...I was hooked. He has a 2006 Mustang GT - his baby. I needed one of my own.
About 8 months ago, we found the 1980 Trans Am S/E - my dream car, black and gold. The previous owner, well...his heart was in the right place, but he didn't have the knowledge or resources to restore the TA to it's original beauty. We started out with an original restoration, then started getting creative on the way. The TA had an original 301 turbo, and the power of a piss ant. The original owner REALLY messed with that motor, not for the good. Once we changed over to a custom 383 Stroker, there was no stopping the endless possibilities! With the 383, she SOUNDS mean (with headers), and she SCREAMS!!!
We've replaced almost the entire interior, starting with sanding down the floor plans and restoring it. I was right there in it all - what fun! When it's your dream car, you don't care what you're getting yourself into! Now that I have MY toy, my husband and I go to cruises together. With some more time and money, car shows next for my TA.
