About birds4ever’s Garage

About me and my passion for cars

Currently in the mid-life, I was raised during the muscle car days. Had a '62 SS impala, '67 SS chevelle, and left for service with a '67 firebird 400. Grew up in rural Nebraska with Dad as a mechanic and I was heavy into gears.
Muscle cars, drag racing... it's just a part of my up-bringing and a part of me.
I left cars for the Harley world after Nam. Now, since I've growed up (again), I'm back into the gearhead scene. There's nothing more Red-White-and Blue than muscle cars!

My first car

1962 SS Impala, 327 w/300 heads, 375 cam, 4-speed. Dark blue w/lite blue interior. Buckets, console, etc.

Car I wish I still had

1961 SS Impala, 348 3-2's, auto, factory air, pw, pb, white over red w/red and white interior. A true SS car. Complete in every way. Bought it for $50 with a cracked head. My dad sold it for $150 when I was in Nam. AARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

My dream car

1963 split window.

Motor

Blog post photo

Getting Closer!

Whew! 15-months and counting since the bird came home! This has certainly been an undertaking! The work has been extremely pleasurable, however, dealing with 'other' entities has been a nightmare! I've made some pretty important change-ups since I started....
