About me and my passion for cars

My older brother subcribed to HOT ROD magazine. I would look forward to it coming in the mail as much or more than he did. I always had a go-cart , mini-bike or dirt-bike growing up. If it had a motor and some speed, I was into it. When I turned 16 , My parents bought my first car a 1970 Chevy NOVA $550.00 , 2 Door, 350 V8 with Automatic, the first thing to replace was the exhaust system.(Put on some duals with glass packs.) I went though SIX cars in high school. 2 Novas(1970 and 1972) a 1970 Camaro, 2 Chevelles (1970 and 1971) and a 1978 Trans Am, (my first "new" car). I got married in 1980 to my lovely wife...(of 31 years now). The gas shortage and prices of the 80's hit us like everybody else. So I bought a Nissan Sentra in 1983. Performance cars were a thing of the past until in 1998, I found the 1979 Firebird "Redbird" for sale at a car show (in the condition that it is still in today) My past love of classic muscle cars had returned and spead to my children.As a father/son project we built up a 1980 Firebird for my son to drive and a 1978 T/A for my youngest daughter, Aside from the "collection" that you see here.

My first car

My first car was a 1970 Chevy Nova with a 350 V8 and Auto Trans, Light blue with custom paint white and blue on the roof. Paid $550.00 for it in 1976.

Car I wish I still had

I had a 1971 Chevelle SS , Factory Red with black stripes Cowl Induction 454 ci with a turbo 400 trans. Bought in 1977 for $1,650.00

My dream car

I have them,and wouldn't give them up, but if I could afford a new sports car , I would go cutting edge with.. http://www.teslamotors.com/ the Tesla Electric roadster. (my practical side kicking in.)
