1973 Hi-Po Vega, 4 spd., with 12:1 cr, sleeved 140, 3/4 cam, Offy Dual Port 360, 390 cfm, Mallory dual point, misc. IECO parts...
Drove from Toms River, NJ to Los Angeles, Ca. (70 mph average)in 4 to 5 days and did not burn a drop of oil!
In San Diego, oil return tube fell off and had to stop over in Yuma, Ar. to change Main bearings with eng. in car.
Drove to Virginia, stayed a month visiting relatives, then drove back to Bakersfield, Ca. and sold the car...it still didn't burn oil.
