About me and my passion for cars

I've had many of the kind of cars you see in today's car shows. Let's see; 50, 51, 54 Mercs, 34, 47, 50 and 55 Fords and all coupes or convertibles. Then I bought a GM car. My first was a 57 Pontiac stick, then a 57 Chevy, 2 dr hdtop in 1962. And I've had a Yellow(Colonial Creme) & white(Adobe Beige) 57 Chevy ever since! Many people thing it's the same one but actually it's my fifth. The first one was the best and the one I've got now looks the best but it's really slow. I've also had several other Pontiacs; 62 2-dr sedan stick, two 70's, 74, 77 TA, 85 TA and that's when I got into Corvettes. My first Vette was a 86 coupe. Bought it used with 100,000 miles. Then I drove it another 100,000 miles (and it's still going). Then I bought a 70 Convertible, 4-Speed, 350 / 300HP. It is really a Gem! It has some typical cracks but it drives like new! Original as you can get. I'll never sell it!
My latest addition is just a fun car. I found a 73 Dodge 4 Dr Sedan with only 50,000 miles, A/C, power steering & brakes. It was rusty & dented with never wrecked. I repaired all the body damage and painted it Black & White. I tried to make it as close as I could to the Blues Brothers car in the movie. It does look neat and drives like dream. A friend of mind & I become the Blues Brothers for car shows with dances, weddings, parties and even New Year's dinner & dances. We're planning on driving Route 66 to Reno, Nev. this coming August to the Hot August Nights Car show in the Bluesmobile!
