About me and my passion for cars

Think I've always been into cars, starting with Hot Wheels, Matchbox, building 1/25 scale models and using various parts from different kits to make them different.
My real "toy", was a 72 Pinto that I dropped a 351 into about 25 years ago. since then I've had a 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint with a 289 out of a 63 AC Cobra, 69 Buick Grand Sport convertible, the 240z, 51 Chevy and Chrysler as well as over 80 different vehicles over the years for drivers and reselling for a profit.
I dropped out of working on cars for quite a few years when I started my business, Phoenix Furniture & Upholstery, mainly upholstering furniture and custom building furniture with a few cars thrown in. Not that I didn't want to do cars, but I refused to get into doing repairs for auto dealers and just the miscellaneous work on them, only complete interiors, and I did not have the right kind of space to do cars.
About 7 years ago, bought my 57 Buick and the bug bit me again. A few years ago I joined LASR's and really got into the car scene again, mainly shows and building or helping build street rods.
I would say I am more into Rods and Customs since I am currently building some, but I do like to go to races, although around here there aren't any 1/4 mile tracks anymore.
