About me and my passion for cars

I started playing around with cars when I was about 15 helping a friend with his 1948 Morris 10 sedan. After getting my licence I bought my first car, a 1951 Holden (GM Australia) sedan. I then progressed through a number of cars including Morris Cooper S. Holden Torana GTR, Chrysler Valiant VC, Ford Fairmont and Subaru WRX Evo 5.

When I was about 20, two friends and I bought a sports racing car, called a Barracuda. It was a special built on 1942 Hudson Terraplane chassis with a hand made body. It ran a 292 Y block Ford motor, Jag gearbox and the original Terraplane front and rear ends. It was a lot of fun, but one of the guys smashed it in a race and fractured the beam front axle. Although the car was repaired it was never the same and was sold.

I have maintained an interest in cars and have had my Trans Am for over 13 years. It had a total respray 3 years ago and is now magenta with blue pearl. It has 5 liter HO engine, TH700 and is fully optioned.

The Parisienne is a project which I bought 2 years ago and the project has not really started yet. Hopefully, I will get some more time soon.
