Well I first saw my 77 on a car lot in Brandon Fl a 1977 smokey and the bandit edition T/A black and gold special edition pin stripes, Hurst T-tops, black vinyl seats, 8-track tape player and of coarse the citizen band radio that came stock from the factory,411 gears and 7 inch snowflake rims and could spin a donut and not move the left front tire. it had a 400 ci with stock chrome valve covers,angel plug heads, I opened up the hood scoop and put copper screen in the opening to keep trash out and panted it flat black but left the middle bar in the scoop.and added an electric fuel pump,then sub frame connectors red bushings to the body months and sway bars and under the hood a-arms added thicker and wider finder supports and race bracing from the crawl to the a-arms, replace the stock 23 ch CB radio with a cobra 40 ch with side bands and a linear for power and a much better sound system,BUT I also had a 1971 Dodge Demon 340 that i complely rebuilt top to bottom front to back a very fast car also buit the T/A is how i met my wife her dad worked for the phone company and was there fixing my dads phone he told me his doughter was in a trans am car club, trams am of america an if i would like info on it he would have her call me that was 27 years ago.she had a 1979 cameo white with gold hood bird and camel tan hounds tooth cloth int,403 not very fast of the line but with 2:73 gears was fast on top end.
