Ok guys I know its been a while since we updated the website but here you go we are now beginning to work on it.

News Items you need to know:

1) Events for 2008

We have decided to scale back the number of events we are holding in 2008. Reasons?!? Well the main reason is the economy with the threat of super high gas prices this summer we have decided not to have members and other participants travel to our events as often as in previous years. The quality of our events will not be declining in fact they likely will be MUCH better.
Time changes for our events: we are starting the final three shows of the year at 10:00 am instead of the normal 9:00. we have determined we need more time in the morning to set up the shows. In previous years we have had participants begin showing up at 7:30, this causes those setting up the event to feel rushed. So we have determine by starting later we won't feel as rushed. Early Bird need to understand you will be staged in a waiting area until WE are ready for you.

2) Sponsors:

WE DESPERATELY NEED SPONSORS in 2007 the club ended in the red over 2300.00. We desperately need members to help bring in sponsors for 2008. Forms will be available in the coming days for that very purpose.

3) Help at the shows

In the past we have refrained from asking for much help with the events, we need a few volunteers this year to help ease the burden on Troy and myself, we have already have a few step up and volunteer to help we still need 5 or 6 more people.

4) Dues and Show Entry Fees

There will be NO increase in show entry fees (BUT see Food Drives below) and dues for 2008. For those who paid in 2007 if you are not receiving your magazines I need to know we have had a few issues with Hemmings and Muscle Car Review. Call Tom if you are not receiving you magazines. If you subscription is expired, your dues are due, call Tom for info.

5) USMCF Nationals

For those wishing to participate in the 2008 USMCF Nationals, it will be held at the Autorama 2008 event, carry overs and those who can't make it to Autorama will be judged at the All American Event in Mercersburg in August. You need to Preregister for this event that fee is $25.

6) Full Size Chevrolet Nationals

The Full Size Chevrolet Nationals has had a change of venue, we will no longer hold this event at Carlisle instead it will be held at Autorama events. No extra Fee will be charged.

7) Food Drives

We will be collecting food bank items at all 2008 events, the food bank items or $1 cash is part of the show entry fee.

8) Special Displays and Events

There will be several special displays and events at most of the 2008 events. Check the schedule at www.musclecarfederation.com to see what they are.
