
Underneath the car Doug spared no expense of funds or time. Using 2 x 4 and 2 x 2 mild steel frame rails, the chassis uses X-bracing throughout for strength and stiffness. A 10-point roll cage made mainly of 1 5/8-inch .134 wall mild steel tubing is channeled 3 inches into the body.
