Note the plastic film used previously on the door panel to protect against moisture dripping down the window. That will be replaced with a more durable Door Damper WaterShield (laminated foil with fiberglass mesh) that stops the weeping of moisture between the structure of the doorframe and the interior upholstery panel. This material also prevents wind, road noise and radiant heat from entering the passenger cabin by creating an insulation barrier.
