total car junkie . my passion 60's 70's cars. .I moved to southern california in 1982 around age 18 from the mid-west and there where all the rust free 60's cars still on the road. I was heaven. I bought a different 60's car about ever 6 months.61 ford galaxy,69 buick skylark, 67 pontiac gto 1-owner factory bench seat 4 speed $1500 bucks,67 plymouth satelite buckets floor shift consol,.65 olds cutlass 2 dr sedan little old lady from pasadena car,73 pontiac luxary lemans 2dr buckets floor shift air tilt sport steering wheel a/c original window sticker maintence records since new rally wheelswith skirts 1 owner for $640.00 dollars in 1986 103k the car was just amazing flawless,70 vette 1986 for $6500.00,68 pontiac firebird 350 2 speed buckets floor shift deluxe wheel covers palomino ivery and offwhite green 1-owner $1800 bucks in 1988.1979 pontiac trans am solar gold base trans am 29k miles standard vinyl interrior rally wheels black wall original tires no tilt no crusie it did have air but i think that was about the only option 3500 in 1989.1979 pontiac catalina got burned by little old lady on this one. what apiece a crap $1000.00 bucks 1989. then in 1990 it happen lol 1980 honda accord was living in palmsprings in the summer driving the 70 stringray convertible with blk interrior and no air theaccordhad air and was marroon(favorite color) $1000.00 bucks yikes out of space

- Was jamming back from the o.c and classics industries in my 79 trans am with factory olds 403 and spun a main bearing. Does anyone know if this a common issue? I'd like to keep the car number matching,but cost is an issue. it still runs but has a hard core knock coming from the bottom of the pan. Would that idicate its a rebuildable canidate? Or is a totally tear down and having a machine shop check all the spec the only way to se if it rebuildable.
Also does anyone have experience swapping a 77 pontiac 400 for the olds 403i n trans am? is it an easy swap?
