About me and my passion for cars
I haven't grown up in a all car enviroment. At our home it was only construction ecquipment and boats. Me and my dad rebuild the engine in an MF 50D diggerloader when I was 6 years old, and that aummer was also the first time for me to drive it. Yes I was too small and had to stand on drive. When I was ten I attended by all my heart in complete restoration of our Brøyt X2b excavator and Scania 80 Super dumper truck. I also started driving this excavator at the age of 10 with its 4 stick control and know drift on the wheels so you had to drag it self forward with the arm and bucket. This is a dangerous machine, easy to tip over. Whe I was 15 I restorated on my own an Atlas Copco ROC 302 fully air pressured rock drilling rigg and a International 434 tractor. At 16 I got my tractor drivers lisence and my dad to invest in a 1983 Kobelco 905 excavator with tracks as a payment for building him a new dumper on truck chassis. I also got my first jobb as a contractor sandblasting and repainting dumpsters for a dumpsters rental company. When 17 my brother, dad and I started building our boat. Turning 18 and getting my drivers lisence I fitted dumpers on two more truck chassis, this time for other truck companies. 21 years old I finished gollege as an engineer in hydraulics and mechanics and went in for my 1year of military service, Got so lucky to do testing as a driver of a new armourd engineer vehicle based on the leopard 1A5 tank chassis. Finish with my duty for "king ang mother land" I started as a contractor in construction. Grown up in a country were motorsports are a bad thing and big petrol consiuming engings are even worse according to the goverment' I have cept me to the diesel engines and machinery until I purchased my dream off all years in 2005 and got my 1979 Trans am. Could be because of a well known movie that I think I wore out the VCR on during my childhood? just love the looks you get driving around in a classic muscle car. Everyone goes..WOW !! But what I realy loves the most is sitting outside my house and just look at my car or take it for some short trips in the sun.. feel the engines sound, vibrations and torque and how it sticks to the road and maybe dream that we were back in the 70's. By the way, we finished our boat in 1999, after 5 years and 15000 hours of building.!
My first car
Year 1944 Dodge WC51 3/4t Military Vehicle, personel/weapon carrier. Both from an military auction in the Norwegian army in 1993 together with my brother, two years before I got my drivers lisence.
