About me and my passion for cars
I love building scale models and offer to build desktops for friends of their dream/first car if a kit is available. Have done it for my Wife (1959 Caddy), Teaching friend (her Hubby's 1968 Stingray) and next door neighbor (2001 350Z). If you would like one, contact me. I only charge $25.00 to do the build, you pay for the kit, paint and any aftermarket add-on's. Usually takes me a week to finish.
I'm a Retired US Navy OS1, went in when I was 17, in 1981, left Active duty in 1991, went into the Reserves in 1992, retired in 2002. Have been involved with US Naval Sea Cadets for 10 years, recently retired from that as well.
Everything I know about Full size cars, I learned from my Father and by building models with my friends. We made it a game to learn what was what, so we could show them to our Dad's. My Father was a Macomber Vocational HS Graduate in their autobody and collision class, but ended up a fork lift operator for Kaiser Aluminum in Toledo, OH. My Mom is a School Bus Driver there as well still. My Brother races at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, OH in the Bomber class since 2000, running number "24H". His two kids are his Pit Crew, and they know just as much about the car as he does, since they helped build it.
