About
This boat is not for the faint of heart. Daytonas are known for their speed and this is no exception. A 1999 modded Merc 300 is strapped to its heinie via a 27" hydraulic jack plate bolted to a 10" spacer. A balanced Merc shortshaft with nose cose mates one of three 'worked' blades to the water...the meanest is a 32 cleaver that pushes this baby to 119.3 on the floor mounted GPS. The boat gets its juice from an Optima Blue Top and has a backup fuel pump to feed it on the extreme end when the Hot Foot pedal is mashed to the floor. The boat is equipped with a Pioneer Marine Stereo pumpping out 350 watts, but we'd rather listen to that big block outboard when we're running....so it's pretty much used for the beach!
