About
This is our 78 Trans Am, We bought it in June of 2003 from a family friend who bought it new in July 1978, It was his daily driver until 2000 then he just put it in the garage until I stumbled across it in need of a total restoration. The rebirth began in Feb 2004 and I was driving in August 2004, still a few minor details to be completed. Original Platinum grey with the light blue interior, We opted for the black on black SE(Bandit) look. It is numbers matching(except color change) Pontiac 400(W72), Borg-Warner Super T10 4spd manual,3:42 rear, close ratio steering box,TTops,Tilt wheel, NO power, NO Air. A very low optioned T/A ordered with only the W72 performace package, TTops and Tilt Wheel. It is one of the first W72/4 spd only off the line, but ordered prior to the May 78 build date, therefore could be ordered without the WS6 suspension, during the restoration it was upgraded to WS6
