- This car embodies what was likely the pinnacle of German engineering... everthing about the car is so amazingly capable and balanced. The Big-Six 5-Speed combination in the "never from the factory" Touring body just makes it that much more unique and engaging.
I cannot wait to see it put through its paces on its maided road trip next week!

About
Just finished this car: The BMW wagons were never available in the US with the 3.5l "Big 6" engine, and they were never available with a manual transmission. I decided to fix both of these problems at the same time and build my idea of the ultimate practical daily driver. I took a 525iT wagon with a blown tranny and swapped the engine and tranny from a 535i 5-speed sedan, while rebuilding the suspension and a few other things in the process.
With the 4.10 gears, big motor, and the suspension, this thing is deceptively quick and a real sleeper of a wagon!
