About
I received a call from a guy that wanted to know if I was interested in a Vega hatcback body. I was skeptical but he said I should come out to at least look at otherwise it was going to get crushed. I told him I would try to go as it was about 20 miles away from where I live and I really did not have the room for it anyway. I decided to take my son Nicholas and go look at it. When I got there I noticed it was an old drag car body. It had a little more than I expected. It had the aluminum firewall and some of the aluminum floor parts along with a descent roll cage. After looking it over really good it had basically no bondo in it, the rear quarters had been stretched already, and the body was solid. the guy that owned it said he only wanted $25 (yes twenty five dollars) for it. I looked over at my son and his eyes were like saucers. I looked to him and asked him if he wanted it. He said greedily YES DAD. So I bought it, came home to get the truck and trailer, and drug it home for him. He offered to give his older sister the 1969 Chevelle SS since he now has the Vega. I have full length frame rails, street slicks, a 9" Ford rearend, a few motors and probably a lot more parts than I think to help out getting it rolling again.
