About
I've always been a fan of this car ever since i was little. I think it had alot to do with my dad being a mopar man as well as the dukes of hazzard. I always promised myself i would have one before i die. I wanted any 68,69,70. When i was 16 i had a 73 charger cause it was the only one i could find. any charger i did find was always restored and was way out of my price range or wasen't for sale. It wasen't till a year ago at a swap meet that i finally found my car. A guy had a large board with several cars for sale on it. I looked at the pictures and was ready to walk away when i seen at the very bottom corner a 1970 charger. I looked at my fiance with wide open eyes and showed her the pic. She told me to ask the guy if it was for sale, but i figured it was already sold. I asked the guy if it was sold and he said no. My heart almost came out my throat. I asked how much and he said $4000.(body only). I didn't have the money and was heading back to school for automotive service tech. Plus a wedding in 9 months. I told the guy my situation and figured it was one more i'd have to let go. He then said to me he would help me out and i could make payments on it with $1500 down. I might have that i told him, but i was worried about some one else buying it. He said i was the first to ask about it so he would hold it for me! I went to se if i could scrounch up the down payment, but no luck. My fiance knew how much i wanted the car so she took the money out of the wedding fund and made it my wedding gift! I knew i was marrying the right woman!!!
