- I was stationed in Hawaii when I was in the Army (Yeah, I know...the hard life!) where they require safety inspections on all vehicles. I picked up this Fiero for $400 because the parking brake didn't work so it didn't pass inspection. I found a shop that inexpensively overlooked that issue (it was an automatic anyways) and passed it for me. We buffed out the paint (although it didn't help much...plastic body), drove it for awhile, and fixed it up some. We picked up a parts car at auction for $300 mostly for it's nearly perfect interior, and sold the parts we didn't use to get our money back out of it.
- It's an SE 2M6 meaning it had the 2.8L V6 engine in it. Not a race car, but fast enough for its size and weight with great gas mileage.
- Overall, a really fun car. Someday, I'd like to get another one and swap in a supercharged L67 3.8L V6. It'll fit in perfectly, and provide plenty of go-fast good-gas mileage power for that lightweight little car!
