My dad bought this 1956 Chevy 3200 Stepside pickup new back in 1956 at Hunt Chevrolet in Chatham, Va. for $1,515.00. I was 15 years old at that time and I learned to drive it on a tobacco farm at Renan near Gretna, Va. where I was born and raised.. This truck was used on the farm to haul any and everything including tobacco to Danville, Va. to be sold. When dad retired he told me that I could have the truck one day and about 15 years ago he gave it to me. I was hoping to fix it up for him to see but couldn't afford it while I was working but when I retired about 7 years ago my dad had passed away and I decided to have a paint job put on it. I carried it to a get a paint job and now 16 months later I got it back with much more than a paint job it was taken off the frame and completely restored... Some people say dad sure would like to see it and I say he would have used a tobacco stick on me. Ha!!! Not really my dad was a wonderful man and liked by everyone that knew him...
