About

1972 El Camino. I just came across this car and have always loved them. This is the last year of this body style, and by far the best looking I think. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep this car due to financial situation and too many projects. So this car is up for sale! Just rebuilt the 454! Put in new pistons, crank, cam and lifters. This engine is an actual SS 454 from a 72 Chevelle! At least that's what the engine block code leads me to believe! This block also has the letters HI PERF stamped on it as well! This car runs very strong and is extremely fast! It also sports a front brake lock up system, and a Dana locker rearend! Interior is in very good shape and undercariage is very solid.

Specs

This car has a newly rebuilt 454 engine. It has been outfitted with a new Crank, Comp Cam and Lifters, Edelbrock Intake, A Race Demon Double Pump Carb, and Hooker Headers. The Transmission is a Turbo 400 with shift kit, and out back is a Dana Locker rearend. This car also sports a nice dual exhaust system that exits out in front of the rear tires. The El Camino is equipped with a front brake lock-up as well. Lots of extras on this car that made it run in the mid 11's at the quarter mile strip. The body has some minor rust issues, but is in overall decent shape! The frame and floor pans are all solid! Interior is in pretty good shape as well with a couple of very minor cracks in the dash! It is all black interior with bench seat!
