I bought this vehicle in May of 2000 with around 27K miles, needing something a little newer to commute back and forth to school. For the first several years the car was a going to a from school and then delivery driving in the evening for the restaurant I worked at. While I was in school(auto collision repair) I decided that I would take care of some damage to the vehicle. The damage was nothing too severe, it had hundred of door dings going down either side and some pretty heavy rock chips on the hood, so I decided I would just paint the entire vehicle and put a racing stripe over the top. I did this back in the spring of 2001.

I continued to the drive the car daily up until I got a house and purchased a little Mazda truck to move my belongings. Since that time in 2007 I have been able to concentrate more on cleaning up my Talon. It now sits garaged most of the year, with the exception of a few weekends that it comes out during nice weather. Over these last few years I've been able to get a really small start on the very long list of mods that I have planned for the vehicle.
