well i got the escort some yrs ago and dam was thing reliable! i barley took it in for oil changes but still ran like new! i never raced it but i remember it was pretty quick actually like the durango. but when i got it back from circuit city which they took out the aftermarket stereo faceplate i ran here down a little hill rlly quick and it gained speed pretty fast but i think i remember there was a grinding noise though when i had it flored lol. but ya this thing was rlly reliable and i wouldnt mind having this thing back it was good on gas and was just a sporty little 2dr. it had 37k miles on it and think is i only got 3k for it but they turned around and sold for i belive 8k god! almost forgot some guy in a big van cliped the front and he was just a jerk about it and DEFINTLY hit me on purpose. i wish i would of took better care of her though. also the picture isnt mine its a 01 zx2 but they are like 99 percent the same

Specs

not sure about liters but it was small but ya sadily it was a 4cylinder, hp i think is 160hp and torque is probaly like a civics just probaly a bit more, 0-60 nothing extreme but i raced some buisness guy in a new infiniti maybe a g35 and won barley was racin to get to the front of the lane it was mergin just a bit away, quarter mile probaly around 16secs, top speed is probaly around 130ish mph just not sure rlly.

Factory Options

had no air conditioning which was a bit@@, zx2 hot trim, cloth seats, plastic interior, red paint, small wrap around spoiler, and not much more. o ya auto tranny

Mods

just a red stereo faceplate and thats all. if you mod to much she'll look like a ricer though. so if i ever do buy her back which i want to i'll probally put new 16 or so inch rims on it but not rice type at all! and maybe just for fun get a v6 or v8 dropped in lol with a loud muscle exhuast. yep stupid huh? well i actually other then the faceplate i added some new cheapper tires and some new cheap brakes but then i sold it about 5months later and im still kickin myself in the azz for doin tht
