nice car. Only 1 year older than Babe. I know Dad got the big 6 motor and had to order a radio-it was an option. I only have one speed wipers, heater, back-ups and driver side mirror.

About

(DISCLAIMER! This is NOT the actual car. I don't have any pictures of it anymore. I found this one on line)

This was my first car. My Grandmother bought it new on New Years Eve 1964, and it was she that named it "Sunny" My dad spent most of the following weekend installing those knobbly clear plastic seat covers and seat belts in the car for her. She was a simple woman with simple tastes, so she didn't want or need anything fancy. My dad talked her into getting a few dealer-installed options just for safety's sake, like a driver's side rear-view mirror, a day-night mirror inside, two-speed wipers with a windshield washer, back-up lights, and a heater. That's right, folks - all of that was optional! It didn't have a radio. The only options on the car from the factory were the 194cid inline-6 and, believe it or not, a grille guard on the front bumper!

Specs

194 cid inline-6
3-Speed column shift manual transmission

I never got any "Official" numbers on the car. It was kinda slow, but it was quicker than my brother's 289/2-barrel/automatic '68 Mustang, which I proved to him several times!

Factory Options

Factory options:
194 cid Inline-6 (the smaller of two 6's available. The larger one was a 230)
Grille Guard

Dealer-Installed Options (All "Genuine GM Parts")
Driver's door mirror
Day-Night rear view mirror
Heater
Back-Up Lights
Two Speed Wipers
Windshield Washer

Mods

AM/FM/Cassette Stereo
Flipped air cleaner lid
Fog Lights
