About

(DISCLAIMER: The photo of this car is NOT the actual car, nor are any of the pictures in it's album. I don't think I ever bothered taking any pictures of the car)

This was just basic, economical transportation when that was what I needed. My '89 Beretta GT (Blue Jay) had succumbed to terminal engine management failure - it went through three of them over the course of eight months - so I had to find something we could afford fairly quickly. I bought this car used in mid-December 1999. It seems that the original owner decided that she really didn't want to drive a stick shift every day after all so she traded it in on a nearly identical 2000 model with an automatic. That was fine with me, because I could buy her old ride with only 7,700 miles on it for just a bit over half of it's original sticker price. The car served me well for the two years I had it. I sold it because my doctor prescribed a drug that made it impossible (or at least unwise... and ILLEGAL!) for me to drive.

Specs

Just the standard equipment: the base 4 cylinder/5-speed combination. I never timed it's acceleration; it was transportation, and that's all. It had enough pep to merge with traffic on the notorious Schuylkill (Say "School-Kill") Expressway here in the Philly area, so that was adequate for my needs.

Factory Options

I'm not sure... Was the AM/FM/Cassette Stereo standard? Other than that, I can't think of anything:
NO Power Windows
NO Power Door Locks
NO Power Seats
NO Power Antenna
NO Remote Trunk Release
NO Sunroof
NO Wings, Spoilers, Scoops, etc

Mods

I added a pinstripe to it, but that was about it.
