About
I picked up this '69 fastback back in January of 2003 off of eBay. It looked much better in the pictures than in person. It was left out in a farmers pasture in about '85 and was a total shell, stripped of anything useful. My wife thought I should have crushed it instead of rebuilt it. It was bad, looked even worse when I started tearing it down.
Specs
462 ci. Cobra Jet big block (insert best Tim Allen grunt here)
Holley 770cfm Street Dominator, 4 bbl carb (working on getting a dual 4 bbl setup)
10.3:1 compression ratio
nice, big lopey cam (don't have spec in front of me now)
C-6 automatic transmission with transpak, higher stall converter, heavy duty clutches and springs for tighter shifting.
15x7 Magnum 500's up front with 215/60 series, 15x8's with 275/50 series BFG's out back.
Factory Options
Power....nothing.
Sport mirrors, Deluxe interior, the rare Light Teak wood grain accents.
Mods
Motor:
Wedged in the big block stroked 429 motor.
Heavy duty engine oil cooler.
Heavy duty transmission cooler.
Added Ford Electronic ignition.
Interior:
Updated the standard interior to the deluxe white Mach 1 seats, woodgrain accents, deluxe door panels,
Basically...replaced the entire interior as it was gutted when I got it.
Exterior:
Painted it Bright Atlantic Blue Metallic.
Added Boss 429 scoop & Boss 429 optioned rims with limited edition Boss Center Caps.
Rear wing & chin spoilers.
More to come....

My '69 Mustang "Layla" is on the road now. Licensed, insured and all legal like. I'm taking her out to the Norris High School Show this weekend for a road test. She really isn't a show car as I did everything on it. The paint isn't professional and it...
