- I'm sorry to hear about your Lotus, and I'm glad you're OK! Things happen, and cars are replacable, while human life isn't.
- Jul 6, 2008 at 1:28 pm
- Thanks! I miss it but at the same time it's kinda fun to be in a different car. I can already tell that another Elise/Exige is in my somewhat near future!
- Jul 6, 2008 at 12:37 pm
- Wow, sorry to hear about the Elise, but glad you weren't hurt. The Mean Green Machine was probably my favorite Elise I've encountered.

- Jan 14, 2007 at 6:00 pm
- That's one sick car, it's like putting nitrous in a go-cart! That's got to have one of the best power to weight ratios of all current high performance cars. You picked a killer color too...
- Jan 3, 2007 at 1:29 am
- That's one nice lotus. I'm looking forward to checking out the numbers once you get that supercharger on it.

- i am going to have to gratefully decline your challenge as i really dont think there is any contest between my lowly ka and your beautiful elise.
- Dec 17, 2006 at 5:29 pm
- You challenged my little civic? Man thats not even fair, you win hands down
Love the car, will have one one of these days and then you can challenge me.

- Beautiful Elise. Always been one of my favorite cars.

- Dec 10, 2006 at 8:41 pm
- Thanks! I was really nervous when I flew down to pick up the car, I had never seen the color in person before and was scared that I might not like it. It was love at first sight though!
- Dec 10, 2006 at 6:37 pm
- what a good lookin lotus. normally i wouldn't like that color but it looks great here
- Dec 3, 2006 at 7:06 am
- I'd be deathly afraid.. I went to a supra/exotics meet in Va about a month ago and when I looked inside the elise that was there.. it looks like your riding on the ground.. and I thought I was low.. no doubt though its very sexy...
- Dec 2, 2006 at 11:28 am
- It actually feels pretty normal to me being that low, you get a good feeling of whats going on.
- Dec 2, 2006 at 7:06 am
- Wow.. very sexy car.. isnt it hard being so close to the ground though?
- Nov 12, 2006 at 4:01 pm
- Man, I love Elises. That Krypton Green color is awesome.

About
UPDATE:
The Elise is no more. It was totalled in May of this year on some Indiana backroads. The short of it is that I came around an odd corner that goes hard left just as you crest over a hill. The car unweighted and went into a spin. No injuries but the car was considered a total loss. I now have an 01 BMW M3 but will probably pick up another Elise or Exige in the next few years.

Bought this Elise in February of 2006 and have loved it ever since. In the past 10 months I've logged over 12,000 miles with the car and have had few problems with it.

I just updated the Gallery with some interior photos. The only difference in the interior now is the stereo is different. I replaced the stock Blaupunkt Acapulco with an Alpine CDA-9856. The exposed metal areas are (for the most part) the actual chassis/tub that the car is built around.
Specs
Mostly stock 2005 Lotus Elise.
1.8L Toyota 4 Cylinder & 6 speed transmission
189 hp & 138 lb/ft
Mid Engined, RWD

Bilstein dampers & Eibach springs
Lotus/AP-Racing twin-piston fixed aluminium alloy front brake calipers
Brembo single-piston sliding rear calipers
11.3" Cross drilled rotors

Stock Numbers:
0-60 --- 4.7 seconds
