About
I had been hunting my dream car a Burt Reynolds Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am for 4 years to have me something I could go show off at car shows with. When I finally found this one it was to good to be true deal. It was in the classic auto trader for 2 months before I could talk my grandparents into helping me get it by going ahead and giving me an really ealry bday present (money for me a car of my choice to car show). Then on top them two months before it was another 2 weeks before I was able to get in touch with the guy who owned it. But needless to say it was meant to be cause the following Friday morning my dad took off work and I got to skip school and we crossed the North Carolina border at almost the exact time when school would of started on the way to pick my 1976 Pontiac Trans Am up. While not the year of the bandit its close enough with the t-tops and black gold paint. The only bad part is I had to wait anohter 4 months before I could get my learner licnese to be able to drive it. But after getting it I found out how special of a car I got and how rare it is. Now all left to do is enjoy it and add more of these awesome vehicles to my collection.
Specs
This is Pontiac's 50th Anniversary special edition car. This one here is 1 of 553 with the 400 4brl automatic and t-tops. This being 1976 it was the last year for the round headlights. Also this was the first time the black and gold paint combonation was used. This car here was stored in a garage all its life which has allwoed it to still have its factory paint. Also its a 100% number matching Trans Am.
