About
This was my first Monte Carlo I had. I was hit and run in it in mid 1999… I had only had it about 4 years.
I was hit from behind by a older Ford truck going about 40mph. I was at a stop light. When I got hit, it pushed me into the cargo van that was in front of me. Since it did not have a load in it, it’s back end was up higher then normal, and in turn put its bumper sitting up higher then my Monte’s front bumper, so it pealed back my dog house off of the frame, and stopped at the water pump. (a good 3 or more feet of peal back!)
My insurance totaled the car, and I bought it back for $100. We started to try and fix it up, but I eventually ran out of money, Since I was going to school full time and working only part time at AutoZone. I ended up selling it for parts. Then about a year later, I got my new 1971 Monte Carlo.
