- This is a sweet looking Trans Am!!
The actual name for the SR71 is the "Black Bird". The Okinawians gave it the name "Habu" during it's stay at Kadena AB, but they were actually happy to see it leave because of how loud the plane was.

About
Restored by the third owner in 1992, I purchased the car in 1995. It is a relatively moderate mileage (86,000) car with a nearly mint condition interior.
This car is named the "Habu" (a black snake and a member of the pit viper family, indigenous to the island of Okinawa, Japan) in tribute to my late father, a retired Chief Master Sgt in the USAF. He loved this car and his favorite aircraft was the SR71 spyplane (which shares the same nickname of Habu).
