About

Restored by the third owner in 1992, I purchased the car in 1995. It is a relatively low mileage (72,000) car with a nearly mint condition interior.

This car is named the "Habu" (a black snake and a member of the cobra family, indigenous to the island of Okinawa, Japan) in tribute to my late father, a retired Chief Master Sgt in the USAF. His loved this car and his favorite aircraft was the SR71 spyplane which shares the same nickname.

Specs

400 CI (4bbl, 185 factory rated horsepower)
TH 350 automatic transmission

Factory Options

Limited Edition (code Y82)
Hurst t-tops
Air conditioning
Power windows
Power door locks
Tilt steering wheel
Rear window defrost
Cruise control
AM/FM radio
8-track tape player

Aftermarket free-flowing exhaust

I recently removed the honeycomb wheels pending professional restoration and replaced them with a set of factory Pontiac gold turbines (actually think I'll keep them on for a while!)
